Quiet Hours: Sunday through Thursday 8 PM to 7 AM

Should residents find these hours not being adhered to:

  • Try talking to the individual(s) first.

  • The first offense shall be reported to the Registrar who will verbally warn the individual(s).

  • The second offense shall be followed by a written complaint (have complaint signed by other residents when possible), submitted to the Registrar. This second offense will be handled by a written warning from the Associate Director.

  • A third offense will necessitate a meeting with the offender, the complainant(s), the Associate Director, and the Director of the School. The offender may be asked to move from the Wilson Building.

Student services

The primary mission of student services is to create an environment for students to grow and develop outside the classroom. Students are invited to participate in leadership and decision-making roles. Active participation as a class officer, as a member of the Nursing Student Communication Council, or membership on one of the Faculty Organization committees enables a student to learn to assume responsibility for the dignity and well being of others, as well as for his or her own conduct. A wide range of services is available to meet the special needs of each student.

Learning assistance program

A learning assistance program is available to all Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions students. This program is primarily concerned with the learning of all students with a special emphasis on nursing. Services will include the following:

Tutoring

  • Individual assistance in time management.

  • Resource materials.

  • Study skills.

  • Computer and video assisted instruction.

  • Self-directed study.

  • Additional campus laboratory practice.

  • Assistance is offered on an individual basis to enhance the success of the learner.

Security

The on-campus security personnel actively assist the School in maintaining a safe and orderly campus environment. Students have access to the school building between the hours of 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Before 8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. weekends and school holidays students will need their ID Badge to access the building.

Parking facilities

Designated on campus parking facilities are available to students with motor vehicles. Students wishing to use these parking facilities must obtain a parking application from the Registrar's Office. There is no parking fee.

Individuals parking without a permit from the School, or in a non-designated parking area, will risk losing parking privileges.
