Student Health Services
- The
employee/occupational health office is open from 7 am – 4:30 pm Monday
through Friday for radiography students. The employee health office
extension is 2830.
- Students
may use the employee/occupational health office for assessment and
referral. Employee/occupational health cannot prescribe medications or
order diagnostic tests. The student's primary care physician should be
the student's first line of treatment. A physician is available in the
emergency department for emergency treatment. Fees for treatment in
the emergency department and fees incurred in referrals are the
responsibility of the student.
- Students may consult with a physician of their choice at their own expense.
- Hepatitis
B, measles, mumps, and rubella immunizations (or a positive titer) are
required prior to the student's attendance. A tetanus/diphtheria
immunization is required within the past 10 years. Physician
verification of chicken pox or a varicella titer is required. These
immunizations are required prior to attendance and may be obtained
through the student’s primary care physician.
- TB tests are required annually. Flu vaccinations may be available at no charge to the student.
- All
students must have a physical examination with their primary care
physician within 12 months of the beginning of the program. The
cumulative health record is kept by the School of Nursing for each
student. The cost for the health records review by the School of
Nursing will be billed to the students on a yearly basis.
- All
students are required to purchase accident insurance through CMMC. The
cost will be billed to the students on a yearly basis. Details of the
plan are available from the program director.
- An optional sickness insurance plan is provided for student purchase. Applications are available from the program director.
