Nuclear Medicine Technology - Admission Criteria
A candidate for admission must have a high degree of self motivation and the ability to accept the responsibilities of a skilled member of the Nuclear Medicine the Diagnostic Imaging team.
The candidate has two options for meeting the admission requirements: Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree with Allied Health Education.
Radiologic Technology Option
- Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible.
- Registry eligible candidates are required to pass the ARRT examination no later than 90 days after begining the Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the radiography program is preferred.
- All applicants must be graduates of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Other Allied Health Education
- Associate Degree from an accredited college
- Successful completion of an Allied Health Program.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in previous educational programs is preferred.
All applicants need to successfully complete the following post secondary education courses with a grade C or better; Human Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, Mathematics, Medical Terminology, Statistics, Computer Applications, Oral and Written Communications and General Chemistry.
